Simon Hartnell

As co-founder of AC Niellsen, Simon is a dedicated entrepreneur and a good foil to Ernst. With his calm, thorough and organized character Simon has run the back office since the company’s inception. His quality of building valuable relationships by finding investors from his network in London has contributed great value.

Throughout the years, Simon has developed an extensive knowledge of real estate by advising several companies on their issues. After his apprenticeship at Hartnell Taylor Cook, Simon moved to Clive Lewis & Partners. He later moved to Nelson Bakewell to specialise in West End Retail in London and advised several luxury brands on their Central London retail strategy, such as Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Hermes and Mulberry. It was his initiative to redevelop The Royal Exchange in London. After this Simon worked on UK and pan European investment advisory with his late father, St. John before co-founding AC Niellsen with Ernst.

In his leisure time, Simon loves sailing and is a qualified yacht master with over 10.000 miles covered. Also, he is an experienced hot air balloon pilot and owns the Dutch flag-coloured hot air balloon featured on the homepage of AC Niellsen.
